What is a Grant’s golden mole?

Category: Miscellaneous    Time: 2007-10-10

Grant’s golden moles are mammals found in southern Africa.

The Grant’s golden mole lives underground. It hardly ever comes to the surface. To move about, it pushes through loose sand. In deeper sand or hard soil, it makes tunnels.

The golden mole has tiny eyes and ears. But it has a good sense of smell. It eats small desert animals such as ants, termites, beetles, lizards, and snakes.
