What is a keyhole surgery?

Category: Health    Time: 2007-11-19    Tags:

Keyhole surgery is a technique where operations are carried out by surgeons without having to make large incisions, or cuts, to open up the body. Instead operations are performed through small holes with thin instruments and surgeons are able to see what they are doing with the help of a tiny video camera placed inside the body. Patients who undergo keyhole surgery generally make a quick recovery because smaller cuts heal faster, are less painful, and leave smaller scars.
