The traditional family are not willing to let their child get in touch with money. They think their child mind will be badly infected by the smelly money. This passive prevention will couse their child lack of economic consciousness. When they grow up, they will consume slavishly, and can not manage their money. In fact, being a member of family, the child can not be away from the money. If you try to give a pure consumption enviroment, it is not practical. So it is very favorable for their health to enhance the economic consciousness of the child and bring up their economic mind from the very beginning.
To create the child’s economic mind is very importance to the development of this time. Now the economic construction is the core thing of our country, the primary and high school students urgently need to learn some finacial and economic knowledge to meet the the need of the time, reduce the distance with the understanding of the social and avoid to occur the phenomena of ignoring what have happened outside the the window.
To create the child’s economic mind is the need of the readjustment from the examination-oriented education system to education for all-round development. Because the quality connotation include many things. It contains not only the study, mind, morality, but the understanding and bearing ability to the social, having economic mind to increase the distinguish and analysis ability of the primary and high school students, and increase the logical thinking ability. So how the parents do to create the economic mind of their child? I think we should do it from four parts.
Firstly, the child should learn how to consume, and some necessary consumption rule.The child should form an idea to spend the money and manager it rightly, and to form a healthy habit. For example, the child will buy many things in their lift, the parents can tell them which is necessary for them and which is worthy. So the child will learn the right way to spend the money.
Secondly, to let the child know how difficult to own the money, first we shoud let them know the right function and position of the money, tell them it is the result of work. We should let them know to cherish the work result of your parents, not to waste the money, and form a diligence and frugality habit.
Thirdly, the parents should lead their child saving deposit and increase the knowledge of finance. For example, they can make the New Year ’s present for the kids to implement fixed deposit by installments.
The child should be plan to manger the money and learn to manger the money themselves.
Forthly, the parents should teach their child some investment knowledge . This is very helpful to cultivate their child to spend money on the right way, such as buy government debts and insurance. If possible, they can invest the money on collecting stamps and coins.
Certainly, to cultivate the child’s economic mind, mainly the parents should lead and intruct them in the daily consumption and family money management, to let them know the economic function in the specific operation. The child should learn the consumption rule and invest management knowledge, earn a virtue of diligence and frugality, upholding labor and loving lift.
