Stonefish are fish found in the Indian and Pacific Oceans.
The stonefish is a deadly fish. It produces venom in glands below the spines on its back. The fish also has rough, bumpy skin. When it lies on the seabed, the fish looks like a stone.
Stonefish may grow up to 38 centimeters (15 inches) long. They have orange, brown, and cream-colored markings.

Stonefish lie on the seabed with their heads up, looking for prey.
